First off, I'd like to give Haar a great big thank you for writing the story and providing the map. If I had done it, it would have taken me far to long, and you guys would probably be making me wet myself through fear and demand. I'm very eager to begin this, and as much credit goes to Haar as to me, if not more. Hoorah! Also, I hope he doesn't mind, but I had to put the map he provided on my photobucket account to bring it here. Ehehehehe...
HAAR THANK YOU SO MUCH! *thunderous applause* Now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Tales of Telgram The Creation Story: In the beginning, the world was devoid of all life. Darkness ruled the land. The seas churned, and volcanoes erupted all around. Out of the chaos came two twin goddesses. The first was Bestelle, the goddess of order. The second was Stukkendra, the goddess of chaos. Together, they molded and shaped the world and created life. They created the trees and the plants, the birds and the beasts, but their greatest creations were the three Skakel species. These were the elves, the chimeras, and the humans. Each was created separately, but they were made to look fairly similar. It was Bestelle and Stukkendra’s deepest wish that the three species would be able to live together in peace and harmony. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. While the three races did at first live in peace, rancor began to build between them based on their attributes and abilities. Elves saw themselves as superior to the other species since they lived for thousands of years at a time while showing no outward signs of aging. Also, they were well skilled in the magic arts and highly in tune with nature. Their elfhames were vast spans of forest that had been sung into structures and plazas of such intricate designs. Chimeras, the strongest of the group, were proud of their special physical attributes. Each chimera had the physical attributes of either a lion, a cat, a tiger, a hawk, or a raven. Normally, they looked the same as humans on the outside with the exception of their tails, wings, ears, whiskers and claws. They could then shift forms and take the shape of the animal they resembled. Their raw power and, in some cases, ability to fly made the chimera believe they were the superior race. Finally, the humans struggled to find their place in the world. Subdued for centuries by the elves and the chimeras, the humans eventually discovered ways to create weapons and tame wyverns and horses and other beasts of burden. With their technologies, the humans were able to carve a niche of living into the world and from there become a dominant world power. Soon, bigotry ran rampant and humans began to blame the elves and chimera for all their past suffering. Thus the seeds of war were sown. The Great War: In the year 873, the world was engulfed in a vicious war. All the elves and humans and chimeras around the globe battled against each other to prove that they were the superior race and should therefore be in control of the world. Bestelle and Stukkendra watched their world in dismay. As the war escalated and all of creation seemed to be engulfed in the battle, the goddesses, depressed by their feelings of helplessness, sadly turned their backs on their world and left it to its fate. And what a fate it turned out to be. During what was to be the last battle of the war, a fierce skirmish broke out between the elven clerics and human mages. Even some chimeras who had managed to verse themselves in the magic arts joined in the fight. Spells soared through the skies, colliding with other spells and landing amongst the main armies. Suddenly, as though the world willed an end to the war, all the spell casters found themselves firing up their spells at exactly the same time. The spells all collided with each other. A massive explosion rocked the point of impact. The entire continent the armies had assembled on was reduced to rubble. The armies instantly disintegrated and a fierce tsunami was sent up on all sides, drowning most of the rest of the world under the sea. At first, it seemed as though all life on the world had come to an end. Miraculously, one continent survived. The small continent of Telgram was sparred extermination, though it did suffer greatly. The force of the destruction triggered earthquakes throughout Telgram. Entire cities were swallowed by the earth. Fires burned many of the forests. The capital city of the central empire was laid to ruin. Many lost their lives. Luckily, each of the three species survived the cataclysm and were able to restart their lives. The Continent of Telgram: Once the dust had settled over Telgram, the surviving groups continued to live in their original countries. To the north was the elfhame of Lunaria. The dense forests of Lunaria stretched on to the Starling Sea to the far north, making it the larger of the two elfhames on Telgram. The queen of Lunaria, Ellesmara, was a peaceful beauty who abhorred violence. During her reign, Lunaria saw many years of peace, mostly by avoiding contact with humans. Below Lunaria lay the Kingdom of Roninkirk. A peaceful nation, Roninkirk was the only nation that did not contribute troops to the Great War. All knew her king, Siegfried, for his kindness and compassion and all who knew him loved him dearly. Roninkirk had separated from the Crestall Empire in the year 704 and was at war with the Empire for almost a decade before Siegfried’s great-grandfather, King Salvador, took the throne at the early age of eighteen and was able to strike up a friendship with then Imperial Heir Legault. The two youths were able to bring an end to the fighting and the two nations lived in peace. To Roninkirk’s east lay the mighty expanse of the Crestall Empire. As the suzerain state, Crestall is the area the two smaller kingdoms report to when it comes to affairs such as war and other international disputes. The Crestall Empire has always been synonymous with military might, yet they were one of the last groups to pledge support to the human cause during the Great War. It is sometimes speculated that this was due mainly in part to the urging of the Senate rather than Emperor Draconis’s wishes. Still, the Imperial Army, with its feared wyvern riders, proved invaluable to the Allied Human Army. In particular, the Black Rider, a fierce, enigmatic wyvern lord, was single-handedly responsible for the destruction of an entire battalion of chimera warriors. It is believed the Black Rider perished in the calamity that befell the world. This same calamity claimed the capitol of the Crestall Empire, Florence, and Emperor Draconis along with it. Now, a new Emperor sits on the throne. His name: Renault. How he will be remembered in his role as Emperor is yet to be seen. South of Crestall is the Kingdom of Eskendrun. Eskendrun broke off of the Crestall Empire some eleven years after Roninkirk. Bordered on the east by the vast Verlaat Desert, Eskendrun is a kingdom of nomads and wandering mages. Preferring to be left alone rather than engage with anyone outside their borders, citizens of Eskendrun also refused to send troops into the Great War. Little is known about this mysterious country, and less still is known about its queen, Alhmeda. Dark in the color of their skin, citizens of Eskendrun were often mistreated by Crestall citizens. It was for this reason that they rebelled against the empire and broke away. To the southwest of Eskendrun is the Kingdom of Tarhaj. This is chimera territory. The beast chimera make their homes here and live relatively peaceful lives in seclusion, the Moorgate Mountains providing a natural barrier between them and the humans and elves to the north. Tarhaj is enshrouded in thick rainforests and the weather there always seems warm and humid, perfect for the chimera who dwell there. During the Great War, Tarhaj gladly joined the Chimera Alliance and fought fiercely and bravely. Now, with most of their warriors lost to the calamities, the Tarhajians have retreated to their jungle home and kept safe there. To the east of Tarhaj, across the Moorgate Mountains, is the elfhame of Arreglas. Arreglas and Lunaria were once connected before the Crestall Empire came into being. Now Arreglas is the smaller elfhame and ruled over by a prime minister who reports to Queen Ellesmara. Like its sister elfhame, Arreglas is hidden in a sea of trees and has had little contact with humans for many years. Finally, on the islands to the far south of Telgram lie the kingdoms of Phoenicia and Carvas. Phoenicia is the home of the hawks and Carvas of the ravens. While both are bird tribes, they share some differences of opinion. The ravens have often worked for humans as spies and thieves for hire. The hawks, who view all humans with contempt, choose to have nothing to do with them and instead work alongside their brethren chimera in Tarhaj. They too lost a great deal of their warriors in the Great War and are now spending most of their time rebuilding their decimated nation. And so the history of Telgram reaches the point where the present takes over. Ten years have passed since the end of the Great War. Telgram is finally beginning to return to normalcy, albeit with less people and resources around. The scorched and damaged earth still lies in ruins around the people of Telgram, and populations are down to a scant fraction of what they once were, but still the people move on. Still, an unease hangs over the continent, a troubling darkness that hides in the corner like a thief waiting to strike. In the Crestall Empire, a new plot emerges. Troops ready themselves for battle. The gears of war that had suddenly come to a grinding halt with the cataclysm of the Great War are creaking to life once again. Darkness is coming. ![]() Rules Okay, now that you all are all excited and everything, we have rules. Just the standard stuff, that most people are aware of though. Now, I want to emphasize no power playing/god modeling. Unless people start out as the same species, we generally do NOT get along very well. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and through my Journeys RP, everyone has done an excelling job of staying within their limits! Let's keep it going more! Romance. We all love it, keeps the roleplay's alive and adds a certain touch to the characters. Doesn't make them so... dull. And for the characters who are such squares and can't understand flirtation... makes it that much funnier. Again, we all know the borders. Marriage and child would be great to add to this as well... shows the hell life at war truly is. Multiple characters are ALWAYS welcome. In fact, I'd encourage it! Um... I can't think of really anything else. I'll add stuff should it become necessary. To Join: Just fill out an application! Character: Race: Country of Origin: Gender: Age: Trade: Look: Bio: Trades Include: Blacksmith Farmer Rancher Tailor Sailor Pirate Fisherman Alchemist Merchant Miller Soldier Or you could be anything else you want to be. Within reason. Also please note that your race will be restricted as to where they will start. This is why you want multiple characters. (Not to mention its more fun. X) ) Oh yeah, and you need to be approved to join. XP Haar and I will do the approving.X) Elves may start in either Lunaria or Arreglas. Humans may start in Crestal, Roninkirk, or Eskendrun. Chimera are from Tarhaj (Beasts), Carvas (Ravens), or Phoenicia (Hawks). *Also note that the following are classified as beasts: Wolves, Cats, Tigers, and Lions. Okay, let's roleplay! -------------------- ![]() Ohemgee! Its like... Isaac and Raine! :O |

Professor_Raine: ~~~~~~~~ Character: Alhmeda Race: Human Country of Origin: Eskendrun Gender: Female Age: 29 Trade: Queen of Eskendrun Look: Alhmeda is very beautiful, and it comes not from and royal jewelry or trinkets. Her dark skin is very rich and appears to not have a single blemish on it. She has soft, yet dark grey eyes and her hair is jet black. Even though its long, living in the desert, she has it wrapped around her head in a silky bun. It partially falls out, looking like a black waterfall. Despite being queen, her attire is a simple as her peoples. She wears long pants that are split at several points, and thus the look like a skirt. Her shirt exposes her shoulder and the tail of it extends down to her knees. She wears leather skinned boots. Bio: The young queen of Eskendrun. She lost her husband in the revolution to break away from Crestall, but has successfully lead her people well in his stead. Being a queen of a desert tribe, there isn't much really to stand on ceremony for. She has one daughter, Aimee, turning fourteen in a few days time who is as caring and devote to the people of Eskendrun as Alhmeda. Alhmeda is quite the accomplished fire mage, but often jokes about have learning to study water magic, to her people's great amusement. Character: Marisa Race: Hawk Country of Origin: Phoenicia Gender: Female Age: 25 Trade: Farmer Look: (Untransformed) Marisa has a strong look to her, a little battle hardened. Her hair is long and wild, and silvery-grey in color. She is very tan, and has pericing ocean blue eyes. She wears sturdy leather boots and light cloth garments. She has a gold bracer wrapped around her head that carries over in her transformation. (Transformed) A silver-grey ruffled looking hawk. She is somewhat small, her wingspan only being about four feet in length. Bio: Very prideful, and thinks of the humans and elves as scum. She not too fond of the traitors, the ravens either. Although her family trade is just working the fields, she has no problem flying of on her own to raid a human ship or visit her four legged friends in Tarhaj. Save the ravens, she carries strong bonds with all chimera, and is willing to do multiple jobs, often leaving the farming work to her sweet little sister Cassandra. Haar: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character: Blythe Race: Raven Country of Origin: Corvas Gender: Male Age: 24 Trade: Informant / Spy Look: A rather dashing raven with jet-black wings and short, slicked back red hair. He always wears form-fitting black slacks and tunic along with black calf-high boots to show off his nicely toned body. His face is clean-shaven and his eyes are a dark shade of red. A scar snakes it way from his right temple to his right lower jaw line. Bio: Blythe is a shady character who’ll work for anyone so long as they pay well. His only concern is lining his pockets with gold and he’ll stoop to levels as low as spying on his own country to do so. He’s remarkably good at what he does and his recent work with Emperor Renault has put him at odds with most of Telgram, particularly residents of Tarhaj and Phoenicia. He prides himself on his ability to charm the most secret information out of anyone and while his wily ways and natural good looks have attracted the attention of many doe-eyed raven women, he has never found true love (most likely due to his huge ego). Character: Malenna Race: Elf Country of Origin: Arreglas Gender: Female Age: 732 (appears to be in her late twenties in human years) Trade: Ranger Look: Malenna is a tall stunning beauty. Like many other Arreglas elves, she has flowing black hair that runs down to her calves (she often braids it in intricate designs). Her eyes are a deep brown and her skin creamy white. She wears the standard Ranger gear (a green and gray mottled cloak and simple green tunic. Her pants are also green and extend down only just past her knees. She often goes barefoot, but sometimes dons small, soft leather shoes that make little to no noise when she walks. She also carries the traditional elven ranger weapons including a beautiful green longbow and two daggers, one long and heavy for stabbing and the other short and balanced for throwing. Bio: Malenna has been working as a ranger since she can remember. As far as rangers go, Malenna is one of the best. Her skills as an archer are known throughout the elfhames and even in parts of Roninkirk and Crestall. Countless rangers courted after her, but she accepted only one as her husband. Unfortunately, he perished in the great calamities and since then, Malenna has become somewhat more somber than before, not seeming to enjoy life as much as she used to. Still, when it comes to performing duties and missions, there may be no better elf to turn to. Character: The Black Rider Race: Unknown Country of Origin: Unknown Gender: Male Age: Unknown Trade: Soldier Look: Entirely encased in black armor, the Black Rider’s real face has never been seen. Nevertheless, he is an imposing figure. His armored body stands almost seven feet tall and his billowing silver cape further adds to his features. He is never without his massive two-handed sword, Alondite (I know, major steal from Fire Emblem, but I love that name!) or his wyvern, Tarhook. Tarhook himself is an imposing sight, all fangs and teeth and hard black scales. His wingspread is easily fourteen feet, about two-thirds his entire body length. He is also armored around his head, neck and tail. He also has a massive iron plate covering his soft underbelly. Bio: Little is known about the Black Rider. He appeared shortly after Emperor Draconis’s rise to power and served the good emperor faithfully. Feared by his enemies for his abilities on the battlefield, it was rumored that the Rider could not be defeated. However, in a battle shortly before the catastrophic magic attack, he was defeated by an elven warrior and disappeared. Rumors abounded that he had died in the cataclysm that followed. He was recently sighted in Florence, the capitol of Crestall, however, much to the dismay of the other countries of Telgram. All eyes now watch Crestall carefully to see what the Black Rider will do next. Character: ??? Race: Human Country of Origin: Crestall Gender: Male Age: Unknown (appears to be in his late twenties) Trade: Soldier Look: Has dark blue hair and green eyes, although his right one is covered by an eyepatch. He wears the standard light battle armor of Crestall (red in color), with a golden cape. He always seems to be smiling about something. Bio: Unknown Royal: Emperor Renault Race: Human Country of Origin: Crestall Gender: Male Age: 41 Trade: Emperor Look: Renault is a shorter-than-average man with receding blonde hair and blue eyes. He always wears the finest robes and carries his walking stick (which is rumored to conceal a rapier). Bio: Renault was not in direct line for becoming Emperor until the earthquake razed Florence to the ground and killed the entire Imperial family. Had Renault not been away from the city that day, he would most likely have died as well. Instead, the cunning, scheming man is the new Emperor. A hard one to read, one can never tell what Renault is up to, including his present call to arms. Royal: King Siegfried Race: Human Country of Origin: Roninkirk Gender: Male Age: 56 Trade: King Look: Very noble. Siegfried is a tall, bulky man with soft green eyes and gray hair, mustache, and beard. A horseman through and through, Siegfried wears a noble’s riding gear. The brown leather tunic with red, emblazoned eagles over the chest and dark brown riding slacks are his normal garb. He is never without his riding crop, and his boots are always spurred. Bio: Siegfried is a king of the people. He is well loved and respected by all he rules over and he makes certain that Roninkirk remains safe. He often goes out on rides to patrol his borders, making sure everything is alright. Crestall’s recent activities have him concerned though, and he has begun to ready his own troops to defend against whatever Emperor Renault might have planned. Zachiel: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character: Zach Yamada Race: Chimera (Raven) Country of Origin: Carvas Gender: Male Age: 13 Trade: Pirate Look: Zach, being young, is slim and not very tall. He's only about 5'1" and in terms of strength, he wouldn't last very long in a fight with a trained person. Being a Raven, his hair is jet black and runs down to his shoulders and his facial features are smooth with dark blue eyes. He wears a black shirt and pants that aren't too loose and not too tight. He usually walks around barefoot, not really liking shoes and only wearing them when it's necessary. His raven form is small. Only about half the size of a full grown raven. His flying isn't as good either, as he only actually began to use it when he had turned 13, which was only a few months ago. But he was beginning to get the hang of it. Bio: Zach's dad was a Soldier in the army that left when he was a baby. He doesn't know if his dad is still alive or not, but he hasn't looked on the bright side about it. His mom died when he was 8 by suicide as her depression over his dad increased until she couldn't take it anymore. He lived on the streets or a while until some pirates picked him up as cheap labor. But as the years Zach grew closer with the crew until he felt like he belonged there. He was trained in the use of double daggers and espionage by the pirates since he was the perfect candidate, being young and innocent looking and being able to transform into a Raven. Him being a Chimera ever bothered the crew, made up of humans. As long as he was able to do his job, no one cared what kind of person he was. Character: Akihiko Race: Chimera (Tiger) Country of Origin: Tarhaj Gender: Male Age: 26 Trade: Pirate Look: Akihiko, being a pirate, has a rather lean build. He is tough, being the captain of his ship, 'La Muerte', means he has to be. Even more so since the rest of his crew are Lion Chimeras. He has the tiger ears and on the back of his body, arms, and legs he has the stripes and the orangish-tan skin that comes with being part tiger. His hair is black and is always slicked back to show off his facial features. He has a scar running down the left side of his face, down his eye, and green eyes that seem to pierce the souls of those who look into them. Bio: Akihiko was raised rather roughly. Always being beaten by his father, who never really cared for him. Calling him a bastard child and always saying that he wasn't his son. He never responded back to his father, always in fear that he would receive an even worse beating, like the kind that he would give his mom. It was during one of those beatings when he was 15 that Akihiko lost control and killed his father. In fear of him being caught and sent to jail, his mother sent him off with his uncle, who happened to be a pirate. This is where he learned the trade and as soon as he had enough, he bought his own ship and got a crew to sail the seas in. He soon became a notorious pirate, known for his crew of bloodthirsty Lion Chimeras. He always let them go wild when they attacked, that way he knew they would most certainly get the job done. FireIce: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Character: Vaeri ala Lisska Race: Elf Country of Origin: Lunaria Gender: Male Age: 582 Trade: Travelling Mercenary Look: Despite his age, Vaeri retains the looks of a young adult, somewhere between 18 and 22. He has blonde hair, roughly cut short, around his ears. With clear, sharp blue eyes, constantly looking off into the distance. He is drabbed in an old, worn cloak, covering his clothing, made of light brown tunic. His most precious posessions are the golden earring hung on his left ear, the twin was burried with the corpse of his sister, in the grave of the vast ocean. The other, is the silver chain and medal that hangs shortly from his neck, proof of his heritage, symbol of what he threw away. Bio: Vaeri was once a devoted scholar in the magical arts, and even studied in the human arts of weaponry. For over two hundred years, he studied various things, and obtained vast knowledge, not just in trivia and magicks, but tactics and combat. At one point in his life, deciding that petty racial differences were meaningless, and without a sense of self or purpose, he decided to travel the world, and make use of his knowledge of battle. A roaming mercenary who fought for anyone who would employ him, let they be elfen, human, or chimera. His use of illusionary magic and terrain based tactics earned him the name of 'The thousand blue legion'. The one-unit 'legion' with the knowledge large enough to crush entire squadrons, but with time and age, that title faded away into the cracks of 'the past'. Around the time of the Great War, Vaeri was employed by humans to do battle with a resistance group formed of elves. Tragedy is a fickle mistress, with no sense of mercy. In that battle, he found himself unknowingly pitted against his siblings, his brother and sister who had decided to take up arms in the war. As the battle wore on, Clora, his sister, was killed by a wyvern...And Tenace, his brother, was fatally injured by Vaeri himself. The battle was won by the human faction, and by the end of it all, Vaeri found out what had happened. Shocked by what he had discovered, Vaeri turned on the humans that were looting the decimated enemy forces...A fire burned rampart through the levelled town. Bloody and exhausted, Vaeri took his siblings bodies and placed them under an aged tree. With his last living moments infront of him, Tenace told Vaeri not to blame himself, for that was the path he chose. The path of 'Knowledge', which he walked by throwing away 'Wisdom'. In that fading moment, in the dusk of warfare, Vaeri was given an earring and a chained medal, proof that he was born of the elves, a symbol of 'pride' which he did not have. A blessed curse of his race. Just days before the final battle of the war, Vaeri fled the battlefield, disgusted by all living things that fought and warred over themselves. Hatred claimed his very existence. His brother was right, he shouldn't blame himself. He could only blame all other living things in this cruel world...And those goddesses who created it. During the final battle, the waves that annihilated everything had washed Vaeri to Telgram. He awoke weeks later in Lunaria, under the care of other survivors of the disaster. Nursed back to health by a small family of elves, he rested for a month, and decided to make Lunaria his new home. He threw away his nomadic life style, and lived a carefree life for a short time. Six years had past, but his old tendancies of wandering the land could not be uprooted. He left Lunaria, and that family that cared for him while he was injured, to resume his life of wandering. Taking up the role of a wandering mercenary, he was hired by towns and villages to clear out unwanted bandits, or drive off dangerous creatures. Without any major wars or massive scirmishes, the being a 'mercenary' was just being flashy... But fate often strikes twice, and time is unwavering...What holds, is what bends to crush. Character: Marcus Gerald Kyfria/'Kyrie Sylmarr' Race: Human Country of Origin: Roninkirk Gender: Male Age: 16 Trade: Entertainer/Magician Look: A handsome young man, with eyes the shade of amethyst. His grey hair grows down just past his shoulders. He avoids luxurious jewelry, but has a ring on his left hand, and a glittering red-gold earring hanging from his right ear, the inheritance from his teacher. He only wears black and/or white clothing, avoiding flashy or colourful clothing. His particular choice in clothing which does not match his trade, makes his image memorable. Bio: Marcus grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Roninkirk, where the people worked throughout the day, and rested in the night. A small community where everyone knew everyone else. A bright individual that was not gifted with the chance of schooling, a future of doing what his ancestors had spent their lives doing... That is, until one day, not long after he had turned eight, a traveling entertainer visited the village. With great boughts of magic and skill, she was quite the performer. Marcus' heart was captured by this woman. Seeing the devotion that Marcus had in learning 'magic', the woman paid a hefty sum, and promised Marcus an education and future...He and his family departed with tears and hope. Marcus recieved a good education, and was taught various trades. But the one he took to the most, was entertainment through 'magical illusions'. He quickly became skillful and dexterious, a natural talent for the art. When he was fourteen, his teacher, the very woman who gave and taught him everything, passed on. With a heavy heart, and many tears, Marcus vowed to become a great magician, and become even better than his teacher. A tribute to the effort she put into his future. He set off as a travelling performer and changed his name to Kyrie Sylmarr. A variation of his family name Kyfria, and the last name of his teacher, AlPrea Sylmarr. Kyrie Sylmarr, a magician who did street performances for free, and despite his young age, came to be loved by the people. He had a 'magical touch' that always brought a smile to the faces of others. A ladies man with a care free and fun loving personality, never staying in one place long enough to become attached. And just like that, the boy Marcus ceased to exist. And the entertainer Kyrie was born. Kiyobi: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Main character: Pamyuri Race: Chimera - Cat Country of Origin: Tarhaj Gender: Male Age: 21 Trade: Spy Look: Blue/black hair, light skinned gray eyes. Rather skinny, but tone enough to show he's very healthy. When in cat form, he becomes a blue-furred cat with black whiskers. Very long whiskers. Bio: Pamyuri (or as he prefers to be called, Myu) has lived an orphan his whole life. He never knew his parents, or any of his family, to be exact. Even while he was living alone as a young kitten, he had extremely sharp senses. He was aware of the smallest details, and can hear anyone sneak up on him miles and miles away. He was taken in by a royal and was recommended to join the army after he realized Myu's potential. Myu was assigned to be a reconnaissance soldier. He didn't like it as first, because being alone and staying put was two of his most hated things. Myu loves to move around, he can't stay in one place. He eventually grew to like it, and was promoted to a full-fledged spy. Supporting cast: Schlidg Race: Human Country of Origin: Crestal Gender: Male Age: 19 Trade: ...Wanderer? Look: Slightly messy black hair, has blue/red heterochromia (one eye is blue, one eye is red). Basic build, not too tone, not too flabby. Likes to wear raincoats to cover his head. Bio: Schlidg is a strange fellow. He likes to wander, but never knows where the hell he's going. Schlidg ends up in the worst places at the wrong times, typically in the middle of a battle skirmish. He always happens to have a first aid kit on him (must be from all the travesties he's stumbled upon), and likes to tend to the wounded. That might qualify him as a combat medic, but he isn't enlisted in the military. Schlidg is actually a dormant medical prodigy. He doesn't know his potential, and the people who have been graced by his "healing touch" have come out good as new, even better possibly. He's quite the wandering soul, though. He says he has no home, and loves to be in tune with nature. When he comes across a town, he can be seen crashing at the local pub and telling everyone stories about his ventures over some beer. (He's supposed to be comic relief, but he could get serious later on, who knows?) Keiko: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character: Ketsunoana Renkinjutsu Yunizon (Or "Ketsu" for short) Race: Chimera - Cat Country of Origin: Tarhaj Gender: Female Age: 17 (slightly older than Rui) Trade: Blacksmith Look: Ketsu has shoulder-length dark brown hair held back with a hairband. Her indigo eyes show you that she's not someone you should mess with. Her skin is slightly darkened from the exposure to the sun, but you can't really tell. Despite her petite physique, she's quite strong in fighting. Her clothing consists of, what you'd expect a traveler would wear, a vest, pants, and leather boots. Bio: Her mother was a cat. Her father was a wolf. She's cat offspring apart from her twin sister Rui. She lived happily with her twin sister in her childhood. However, being the only one to witness her parents' death had hardened her cheerful personality. She's cold, bitter, or just downright an asshole. She wants to take revenge on her parents' killer. Living with her only twin sister, she must take care of her, and must keep the death secret in hopes of preserving Rui's smile. Character: Rui Amai Yunizon Race: Chimera - Wolf Country of Origin: Tarhaj Gender: Female Age: 17 (slightly younger than Ketsu) Trade: Tailor Look: Like Ketsu, she has shoulder-length hair, except in the color of forest green. She has violet eyes that shine with innocence. Unlike Ketsu, her skin is a bit pale from "hiding in her sister's shadow" for so long. You can tell that she's quite frail in fighting. Her clothing is usually a green robe, for any sort of harsh conditions. Bio: As the twin sister of Ketsu, she's the Wolf offspring. Her childhood was a happy childhood. However, seeing Ketsu's bitter personality concerns her quite much. She's trying to get into Ketsu's head but she keeps getting locked out. Unlike her sister, she's quite shy and not very strong in combat. Character: Keiko Kawazaki Race: Human Country of Origin: Eskendrun (It doesn't get enough love </3) Gender: Female Age: 15 Trade: Alchemist Look: Keiko is a rather charming character. She has long, brown hair stopping at the waist, with a fringe to add to her cute charm. Her violet eyes just shine, adding on to her cute charm. At the height of 5' 3", it adds maturity to her character. Her attire consists of Swordswoman clothing: A long-sleeved dark violet top with a breastplate, not too big shoulder armor, a dark violet cape for resisting harsh conditions, and a skirt stopping a couple inches above her knees, accompanied with thigh-high stockings. Her greaves cover her shins, but they're designed to be comfortable for travel. Being a swordswoman, she wears gloves to help grip her sword. Her sword is about her height, just only one foot shorter. It may appear to be a two-handed sword, but it's rather lightweight, making it easier for Keiko to swing, even with one hand. But it's still difficult to wield one-handed. With a dark violet grip and sheath, she often carries the sheathed sword with her two hands, as it was a gift from her mentor. Aside from her clothing, she also bears a soft blue ribbon tied onto her left wrist. What is it for? Bio: Keiko has no memory of her family. It was said they had died when she was merely a child. Keiko believed they are still alive, lost somewhere in the world. Keiko had suffered amnesia for so long, the only thing she CAN remember is her own name. She was taken in as a child by Schezo (rofl, stolen from Puyo Puyo/Madou Monogatari). He had taught her how to wield a sword, and some of his magic powers. Though Schezo is a Dark Wizard, the spells Keiko learned were light-based as Keiko is naturally of a light affinity. Keiko was able to inherit his skills and was able to surpass him. By the time she had her memory restored, Schezo disappeared. Keiko wanders the world in search for him now. Hananosei: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Elysium Age: 812 (Appears to be between 26 and 29) Gender: Female Trade: Princess of Arreglas, Peacekeeper and Ranger Origin: Lunaria, later moved to Arreglas Bio: Daughter of Queen Ellesmara. Along with her brother, Letum, they rule Arreglas. She is seductive, coy, witty and graceful. She makes all of the decisions and is practically the ruler of Arreglas. She also speaks Human and some Chimara languages, along with her fluent elven. Appearance: A stunning pale skinned elf of about 5'6" with lower back lenth blond hair and piercing forest green eyes. She wears a simple white graceful looking dress that touches the floor (You cannot see, but she is always barefooted). The top of the dress is not see through but as the dress continues, it becomes more and more transparent. She wears a belt made of silver that seems to wrap around like a vine. At last! We're finally under way! So hello there, it's me Haar (as if you didn't know), and I just wanted to say a few things before we begin.
Firstly, I hope ya'll will join this RP and haves fun with it! We need to prove that the Hangout is in fact alive and well by making this thing run well. Secondly, I'm afraid I must place some further restrictions on the types and number of characters ya'll can play. The rules I'd like to add are as follows: 1. NO ROYALTY! I'm sorry, but Raine and I will be the only ones playing royalty so the plot flows better. The only exception to this is Hana, who I believe will be playing the elven princess. 2. CHARACTER LIMIT: While multiple characters are highly recommended, I must ask that you limit the number of characters you start off with to three (3). If you really want to have a fourth (or more), just contact myself or Raine with the application for the character and we'll let you know if it's okay. Again, the exception to this rule lies with myself and Raine (since we need to play certain royals along with our normal characters, we have a lot of people to cover). And I believe that just about covers it. Not too bad, eh? I'll be posting my characters soon as well and I hope to hear from all of you! JOIN OR DIE! That is, I mean... um... I hope ya'll join us. Tee hee. -------------------- "You know, man, you're the history major. You're the one who told me that Roosevelt or whoever once said that yesterday is not ours to recapture but that tomorrow was ours to win or lose or something like that. You also said that Lincoln said the best thing about the future was that it comes one day at a time, right? Well, maybe you just need to take this one day at a time too. Why are you gonna risk giving up your friends because of something stupid you did before? Wouldn't that make it more stupid? Learn your lesson from what you did and make a better tomorrow. That seems like the kind of thing you normally do. And look, you don't have to lose any friends."

Okay peoples, so here be me characters:
Character: Blythe Race: Raven Country of Origin: Corvas Gender: Male Age: 24 Trade: Informant / Spy Look: (untransformed) A rather dashing raven with jet-black wings and short, slicked back red hair. He always wears form-fitting black slacks and tunic along with black calf-high boots to show off his nicely toned body. His face is clean-shaven and his eyes are a dark shade of red. A scar snakes it way from his right temple to his right lower jaw line. (transformed) A full-sized, jet-black raven with two unique strips of red feathers behind his eyes. Other than that, no real distinguishing features. Royals: As I mentioned before, Raine, Hana, and I are playing royals. Listed below are the royals I’m scheduled to play so far. Royals will not be focused on too widely (they’re not actually all that important. The story focuses more on our characters than them. They’re just sort of there to give support and/or orders). Royal: Emperor Renault Race: Human Country of Origin: Crestall Gender: Male Age: 41 Trade: Emperor Look: Renault is a shorter-than-average man with receding blonde hair and blue eyes. That's all I have planned for now. Raine is in charge of Eskendrun's queen and Hana has the elfhames under control. I may take the chimera territories later, but right now, I'm good. Hee hee. Okay, let's RP! Character: Alhmeda
Race: Human Country of Origin: Eskendrun Gender: Female Age: 29 Trade: Queen of Eskendrun Look: Alhmeda is very beautiful, and it comes not from and royal jewelry or trinkets. ((I'll have my third character coming in soon enough, when I feel like making the application. XD Anyway, I might note that Alhmeda and the elfhames princess will probably be the most important royals. You'll see as time progresses. And I know patience is a virtue, but please hurry and join. XD)) -------------------- ![]() Ohemgee! Its like... Isaac and Raine! :O |

((I guess I'll join/ Although since I don't have 24/7 access to a compy I might not be as active as I would usually be >_>;; ))
Character: Zach Yamada Race: Chimera (Raven) Country of Origin: Carvas Gender: Male Age: 13 Trade: Pirate Look: Zach, being young, is slim and not very tall. Character: Vaeri ala Lisska
Race: Elf Country of Origin: Lunaria Gender: Male Age: 582 Trade: Travelling Mercenary Look: Despite his age, Vaeri retains the looks of a young adult, somewhere between 18 and 22. > Aaaand that's my character. Or something. Hate to complain, but, 'In the year 873', isn't that...A bit short a time frame for a world to develop? :x -------------------- - Fire Ice -
~~~~~~~ Arinketsuki - 16 - Kristallnacht ~~~~~~~ "Delusion is but the nector that you drink. Drink deeper into delusion, view the world as if it were broken...Where it all spirals to an end, you will never get to witness. Why? Simply...That shattered tier is what your reality claims is not false. For you, all falsehoods are truer than all truths forged by reality. One not bound by the absolute. That is why, you to exist, are but this delusion that you drink your own self into...Drink deeply, that sweet delusion, and watch as the glass falls, shatters this world...That fragility that is forged by the Cross that claims in the name of the heredity of Fuyara; All falsehoods are truer than all truths. All truths are below all falsehoods. The creation of delusion...Tier realm on the shattered tear...This is where all creation ends, brace yourself, as delusion breaks like glass...An imaginary Kristallnacht to be revived..." ~~~~~~~ |
((Well, 873 is just recorded history. Before that would be what I guess you could call the "BC" years. Oh, and by the way: me likes your profile. You're in.))
((Okay, let's get this thing a-rolling, shall we? Entries are still being accepted, but I'm sure Raine is as tired as I am of just waiting around.)) Blythe awoke to a chilly wind blowing from the north. That was one bad thing about the Moorgate Mountains - there weren't many places to stay warm on the mountainsides. Blythe pulled his blanket off himself and freed himself of the cocoon he had made with his wings. He stretched his black vestiges out and looked around. The morning sun had not yet appeared on the horizon to the east, but that was fine. There was enough light to fly and it would get brighter soon. Time to be off. Blythe wrapped up the blanket and stowed it in his carrying sack. He placed the sack over his shoulder, ate a meager breakfast of dried fruit and bread and flew off towards the northeast. After some time, a great wall appeared in the distance. The side of the wall was illuminated by the rising sun. Blythe smiled and climbed higher into the clouds and flew over the wall. The ground below him was quickly becoming dryer and sandier. Soon, the entire line of vision seemed to be nothing but desert. Finally, Blythe spotted his objective: the city of Sarnac, capitol of Eskendrun. Blythe dropped out of the sky like a stone, pulling up only feet from the ground and landing lightly. He took a cloak out of his carrying sack and wrapped it around himself, covering his wings as well. He then moved closer to the city. In minutes, he was in the main square. He stalked through the streets, which were just beginning to fill, until he came to a small obelisk. A man in a gray cloak was standing there. Blythe smiled under his hood and approached the man. "What took you so long?" the man asked him. His skin was almost as black as Blythe's wings and his voice was very deep. "Flying isn't easy, my friend," Blythe replied cooly. "I'd like to see you try." "No thanks," the man responded. "I'll keep my feet on the ground." Blythe smirked. "Did you acquire the information?" The man said nothing, simply pulled a bit of papyrus out of his cloak and handed it to Blythe. Blythe looked it over quickly. "And you're certain this information is correct? Any mistakes might prove...unfortunate." "I check them over five times," the man replied. "The guards always change positions at exactly the same time. That leaves the queen and the princess unprotected for exactly three minutes. Enough time for you to capture the princess." "Oh, it won't be me who will take her," Blythe replied. "Who then?" "That's for me to know..." Blythe pretended to trip. The man held his hands out to catch him, then suddenly went rigid. Blythe smirked again and pulled away. The dagger in his hand shone red with the man's blood. "...and you to never find out," he finished and was gone in a flash. An hour later he was in Crestall, in the capitol of Florence. "I need to see the Emperor," he told the guard at the castle. "I'm the informant." The guard scowled at him, but opened the door anyway. Blythe moved inside and found his way to the Emperor's study. He knocked on the door. "Who is it?" a voice asked. "Blythe, your majesty." "Oh, Blythe. Come in." Blythe opened the door and sauntered in. Emperor Renault was behind his desk, pouring over maps of Lunaria and Roninkirk. He looked up at Blythe with expectant eyes. "Did you acquire the information?" he asked eagarly. "Oh, I acquired it alright. I believe you'll find it will make taking the princess of Eskendrun quite easy. Now, as for my payment..." "Yes, yes," Renault replied dismissively. "It's in the treasury as usual. You know what to do. The information..." Blythe smirked and pulled the piece of papyrus he had gotten earier out of his carrying sack and placed it on the emeror's desk. "There you go." "Delicious," Renault said. "Leave me!" Blythe bowed and gladly left the room. There was something about the emperor that he found unsettling. Normally, Blythe wouldn't deal with such a nut job, but since the emperor was willing to pay quite handsomely for his services, Blythe didn't protest. After paying a visit to the treasury, Blythe made for home. His job was finally done. Roninkirk, Lunaria, Eskendrun...trips back to Crestall to report on his findings. It had been quite a long trip. As he continued home, he decided to pay a quick visit to Lake Lacerta. A good bath would help get the grime out of his wings. And who knew? Maybe he would run into that hawk, Marisa again. The beauty was a fun one to tease and taunt. Blythe smirked again and flew in the direction of the lake. ..."ld...", a cold wind raked the woods, bringing up dead leaves, forgotten dust and decay of times past...
"s'cold..." Vaeri yawned, trailing his feet through the woods... "Why did I have to take this 'short cut'? Useless old man..." After leaving the previous village in which he had chased off a band of wild animals, hell bent on raiding the local food storage, Vaeri was sent off with his pay, and not even a scrap of food. "Greedy old man...'get out of our village immediately', he says. 'The woods are a shortcut to an Eskendrunian trading post' he says." If he had not placed a restraining spell on his own conciousness, that entire village would probably cease to exist as of two nights ago. "Ugh, arrogant humans..." Vaeri continued to treck through. He had to get to a city before he collapsed of hunger. "Took me three days to clear out those damn things...Haven't eaten in so long..." 'This won't end well...', talking to himself was the only way for him to keep himself from blacking out... "da...mnit..." Everything fades to darkness... A small, silver-grey hawk, perched herself in the mountains that overlooked the lake, watching the desert sands roll by with the winds. Even if it was filled with humans, she still enjoyed the glowing gold at a distance, where she didn't have to look at them.
This was her favorite spot in all of Tarhaj, on the mountainside above the sparkling Lake Lacerta. The desert was like a golden ocean, and the lake itself a sparkling mirror. Something in the distance caught her eye. Black, onminous looking... and vile. She stretched her wings, waving them to and fro slightly, unhappy to see the raven that was approaching. As if it wasn't bad enough, it was that one who seemed to love to things in the world. Himself, and gold. By the goddess, he should have be human. She would love to tear that conceited bigot wing from wing and serve him up as someone's roast dinner. She watched him with her piercing ocean eyes, still not reverting. OoC: Whoot
"...mm..." Vaeri slowly opened his eyes..."Where...am...I?" Sunlight blinded him momentarily. There was silenced... Silence that was broken by the growl of his stomach. "Ugh..." Damn that old man... Vaeri closed his eyes, and attempted to fall asleep again...Although that wasn't very likely to happen... "Mother! Mother!" came the excited voice of a young girl.
"The man with the funny looking ears is awake! Moth~her!" Loud footsteps could be hear rushing out of the room and moments later, two pair could be heard coming in. "Please wake sir! Sun is high and burning~!" the voice of the girl chirped, very excited. "Aimee!" came the voice from the second person. It was soft and gentle, not excited like the voice of the girl. "This is no way to treat our guest." The sound of pouring water was heard, and moments later, both ladies were sitting beside the elf, the elder one hand him a glass of water. "You must be needing this..." she smiled gently, her dark grey eyes glimmering softly. -------------------- ![]() Ohemgee! Its like... Isaac and Raine! :O |
((Fire, ooc can be done in these paranth-ama-sis. XP And yay! I'm so glad we're starting! Woo-hoo!))
Blythe couldn't believe his good fortune. As he was approaching the lake, he saw his dear little hawk "friend" looking quite aggitated about his arrival. "Well," Blythe said cheerily as he approached. "If it isn't Marisa, the farmhand. You know, dear, I'm not certain if the lake could wash away all the dirt you must have picked up working in those horrible fields. Perhaps you should take to a better occupation. Say... cleaning chimneys perhaps? That way at least you wouldn't be stuck on the ground all day." He chuckled. "Oh come now, no reason to look so bitter! I jest, of course. One of your beauty should be doing nothing dirty at all. Why, I'm sure if we put your talents to good use, we could make a good informant out of you." He winked at her, then flew down to the shore of the lake and removed his tunic. He leapt into the water and began to swim about. "Aren't you coming in?" he asked. -------------------- "You know, man, you're the history major. You're the one who told me that Roosevelt or whoever once said that yesterday is not ours to recapture but that tomorrow was ours to win or lose or something like that. You also said that Lincoln said the best thing about the future was that it comes one day at a time, right? Well, maybe you just need to take this one day at a time too. Why are you gonna risk giving up your friends because of something stupid you did before? Wouldn't that make it more stupid? Learn your lesson from what you did and make a better tomorrow. That seems like the kind of thing you normally do. And look, you don't have to lose any friends."
"Ugh..." So noisy...Vaeri opened his eyes again...once again, blinding sun light...
"So...bright..." He sat up, and took the glass of water, and stared at it. "Uh..." He took a moment to think about his situation. 'That's right...Collapsed in those woods...So...' "Ma'am, it would be rude of me to not accept such hospitality, however...Please...Water would only worsen my condition...If you could spare some food..." His voice was hoarse, so it was obvious he was also thirsty. His vision was still a bit blurred, so to refrained from letting his eyes wander, he closed them.
